When you donate stocks, you can make a meaningful difference without taking money directly out of your bank account. A gift of stock can meet your goals, whether you are making a charitable donation or Qualified Charitable Distribution from an IRA to satisfy a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). You achieve your objective, enjoy potential tax benefits, and enhance the mission of Nathan’s Butterflies through your generosity.

 

Benefits of Stock Donations

  • When you give appreciated stocks directly to a charity, you avoid the taxes you would incur from selling them and donating the cash. 

  • Neither you nor Nathan’s Butterflies will be taxed on the gains for appreciated assets you donate.

  • You may receive immediate income tax savings.

 

How to Donate

  • Contact your Financial Planner or Tax Consultant to obtain your specific benefit information.

  • Your broker can initiate a direct transfer. Our DTC number and account number are available upon request to nathansbutterflies@gmail.com
